Teoría del arte plantea un ajuste conceptual de las categorías de análisis y una nueva delimitación de los aspectos y manifestaciones que configuran en la actualidad la escena artística. Se trata de buscar una correspondencia en el plano teórico con lo que el arte es en nuestro tiempo, en lugar de seguir recurriendo a ideas y formulaciones que remiten al pasado, a un horizonte de la representación hace ya mucho tiempo definitivamente superado en nuestra cultura, en esta era de la imagen global.
